Two weeks in, we finally have counts!

Transplant day itself was a great one!

After being admitted to the hospital yesterday evening, we get our much-anticipated bone marrow/stem cell transplant we think sometime around noon today.

After being accidentally M.I.A. for two weeks, we wanted to give a retroactive update on what we’ve been up to.

Last week we had a handful of appointments, with a full day on Thursday that was part planned outpatient chemotherapy at our cancer clinic and part radiation consultation with Texas Oncology.

Really a thank you to ALL of the staff who have helped (and will help) us on this journey.

This week we continue our chemo round 2A (AKA round 3) treatments.

Today we were welcomed home from the hospital with some of the best news ever.

A little more news on the bone marrow/stem cell donor front.

Surprisingly and amazingly we found out after just one 21-day round of intensely aggressive chemo we are in REMISSION.

Just over six weeks in and with two fast and furious rounds of chemo under our belt, we’ve had some time to process, reflect and make sense of what’s been going on.
